Calcutta HC denies permission for ISF meeting on January 21

ISF cannot hold a meeting in front of Victoria House on January 21. The division bench of the Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court gave this information on Friday. The single bench had given the ISF conditional permission to hold the meeting. It was rejected on Friday. The court said that ISF cannot hold a meeting by blocking the road. They can hold meetings at any indoor stadium. After talking to the state, Naushad Siddiqui's team can organise the programme at Netaji Indoor Stadium or Khudiram Practice Centre.

The state had challenged the High Court's decision to allow Naushad Siddiqui's meeting on the division bench. According to the state, there are five programmes in a single day. As a result, the state asked the court how it was possible to allow this meeting. The argument is that having so many programmes simultaneously will create problems in police management.
